Lifelong friendships are hard to come by. As busy professionals, we don't get to meet our friends as often as we like to. So, it is wonderful that SIM provides us with the platforms and opportunities to meet, network and learn through meaningful activities. I am still in contact with my group of friends since we graduated from SIM in 1988. Unique platform such as the SIM professional Interest Groups (IGs) is one of the many reasons why I joined SIM membership.

As an educator, I am constantly looking for ideas that I can share and teach. The activities organised by SIM professional Interest Groups (IGs) have been a source of inspiration for me. I’ve also made a lot of friends and interacted with people from different professions and industries. It has given me new perspectives, especially in other fields such as business.

SIM membership has also helped me in my personal development. Having attended seminars on topics such as public speaking and anger management, I am impressed with the quality of the speakers invited by SIM. I have borrowed books from the SIM Library to further my knowledge, and there's the quarterly magazine, Today's Manager, which is filled with well-researched and interesting articles.
